1967 – ‘Gregory Clapham’
Gregory Clapham became the second 1st Hillcrest Scout in 1967 to receive his Springbok Scout Award. Here he is seen on his hundred mile hike.

1983 – ‘25th Anniv Cub Pack’

‘Latest Additions To Scout Hall’
Additions were carried out to the Hall to include a bigger kitchen, a small meeting room and four storage garages. (Vic, not sure of the exact date, will confirm with plaque on the wall).

1986 - ‘St Heliers 48 Hour Record’
1st Hillcrest Scouts conducted a 48 hour endurance expedition which involved building and living on a raft on the St Heliers Dam. A shuttle service ferried visitors from the bank to the raft where they were served tea and freshly baked biscuits. |

1984 - ‘Umkomaas Expd Shooting Rapids’
Umkomaas River Raft Expedition. 1st Hillcrest Scouts and Venturers built four rafts. The start was at Number Eight Rapid and finished some fourteen kilometers downstream at Josephine Bridge. The river was flowing strongly which made it difficult to negotiate but a worthwhile challenge.
